PIEDI PER TERRA E TESTA PER ARIA
Textile installation: sheets, towels, cotton, water color, natural pigments.
Sculpture: wooden frames, concrete, wire mesh, clay, ink, plastics.
Lecce, 2023
Piedi per terra e testa per aria means feet on the ground and head in the air.
The work is an extension of my intimacy.

The installation was created for the Project room of the Castromediano Museum in Lecce.
It embraces movement and transformation—capable of unfolding into new forms and occupying different spaces.
I wanted to relive personal experiences through an alternative, playful and visceral reading.

The hand-painted and hand-sewn fabrics include sheets and old family towels.
Together they make up a fragile umbilical cord of memories, an immersion in the emotional landscape in search of lightness and rootedness.
In contrast, a heavy, but at the same time fragile, sculpture stands in the center of the room, surrounded by fragments, as if it had tried to fly but had fallen back under its own weight.
